The Association is targeted to anyone that employs a domestic worker, regardless of your earning capacity and location.
The Association's objectives is to equip it's members with the tools to understand the terms and conditions around employing domestic workers in order to create a healthy and sustainable working environment in every home.
DEAZ Objectives & Services
The Association's aim is to to protect and advance the interest of its members. The importance of employing domestic workers under fair labour standards, through promotion of decent work.
Domestic workers, include direct and indirect care work. Direct care work targets Childminders / Disabled and or Aged Minder / Nurse Aids / Home Based Carers and Indirect care work targets Housekeepers, Cooks, Caretakers, Watchmen and family Drivers and others.
Domestic workers are the heart of the home and ensure our daily lives run smoothly, therefore, their working conditions must be reflective of such.
Domestic Workers are in the informal sector and are under the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare's jurisdiction.
To lobby for, promote and obtain the promulgation of any statute; order; regulation or enactment and to lobby for the opposition. To lobby for opposition of any statute; regulation; bill; enactment; policy or proceedings which impact the operation or interests of the Association's members or discharge of their duties and turnaround mandates.
